Life update and dream diary

So, as of three hours from now I'll have been back at school for a week. It feels like longer.
My job's going pretty well- at least I'm less nervous than I was before, and we got free food on Friday, which was nice. I'm glad so many of my friends are still here, otherwise I'd be a lot lonelier. I got to spend most of Saturday hanging out with a bunch of cool people, including
harpofisrafel who's moving away soon. ( :( )
Last night I had a dream that was sort of about a LARP in the basement of my church. (It's a very nice basement, with a stage and stuff; we used to have coffee hour there before we got the fancy new addition.) It was mostly about vampires, but the main plot had to do with magic jewels. One of the characters, who was sort of introducing the concept, showed us a bracelet with a jewel set in it and said that she'd killed the previous owner of the jewel, and then pulled her sleeve all the way up to her shoulder and had bracelets going all the way up her arm. It was sort of assumed that the only way to get a magic jewel was to kill the person who had it last.
The rest of the plot centered around searching for these jewels and fighting each other for them. Toward the end, I got in a fight with one guy which ended with my saying "Nom" or some such, which was the accepted way to do it, but he was like "it doesn't count, you didn't actually bite me."
